Episode 136: Trial by Fire with Brahna YasskyMar 22, 2023
Have you ever wished for a do-over?
I’m not looking for a do-over exactly but I do find that I’m always searching within myself for the courage to keep taking chances. I find myself constantly looking for evidence that it’s not too late for me to do things I've only dreamed about. I’m happy to say I find that evidence on a regular basis.
My guest today is living proof that it’s never too late to make a fresh start.
Brahna Yassky's memoir, Slow Dancing with Fire - a memoir of resilience is a beautiful reminder that do-overs are possible, and that we should never give up on ourselves. Her story is a testament to the fact that it's never too late to start a new career or pursue your dreams.
She reminds us that we can always start fresh, no matter our age or circumstances. The key is to keep searching within ourselves for the courage to take chances and try new things.
Brahna's story also touches on the universal issues of beauty, identity, and visibility vs. invisibility. In a society that often values youth and desirability, it can be challenging for women to feel confident and empowered as they get older. But as Brahna's story shows, there is beauty and strength in resilience and in forging a new path forward.
Ultimately, we should all strive to support and uplift one another, sharing our struggles and victories as we navigate this journey of life. Staying stuck in a negative mindset or hating ourselves only holds us back.
It's never too late to make a change and pursue our passions.
